I just completed composing the music for my 11th musical called Rare Birds. This is the love story of two bird watchers that gets complicated by progressive dementia and a concerned daughter. The co-writer Claude Solnik wrote the book and the lyrics.
Tony Alvarez – I have been mentoring Tony about the music business. His current assignment is to pitch my revised The Prodigy movie and The Mildred Bailey Tribute project.
Post Falls Historical Society Video – Kim Brown and I did some more videotaping at the Post Falls City Hall. We will be editing today so we will hopefully have the video ready to distribute soon. This is a volunteer project.
Post Falls Historical Society River of Life Musical Revue – Kim Brown with the Post Falls Historical Society and I agreed that I will write and compose a musical revue about the history of Post Falls. I have half-finished this project. I decide to use my Raindrops Suite for orchestra and my new woodwind quintet as the basis for this River of Life music revue. The music depicts the story of Post Falls in music and song. If you want to hear it, send me an email.
I have been networking a lot. Yesterday I went to a 10th Anniversary party for the cast and crew and public involved in the Z Nation zombie episodes. I have written horror music, and it is a lot of fun. I met a lot of people including dire tors, producers, actors and film crew.
After two band members in my band called Flashback had heart attacks last year, we took about six months off. We are now back together and played two classic rock gigs in August.
