I recently found out that a good acquaintance and fellow musician, Keith LaMotte passed away on July 30th. Keith played trumpet for our Mildred Bailey shows in 2018. He hit notes on the trumpet that my Finale program said were impossible to play. I enjoyed our conversations, he was always a very pleasant, positive guy; and in the brief time I knew him, I really liked him.
